Prance began racing quarter midgets by his 10th birthday at North Georgia QMA in Cumming, Ga. He caught on quickly and won most all his senior novice races. Will remained in quarter midget racing for four more years, traveling all over and was able to compete in three Grand Nationals. In November of 2006, Will finished his quarter midget career after winning his first Championship in Region 3, for Heavy 160 and making the A-main in World Formula at the Topeka, Kansas Western Grand Nationals. Just a few weeks later, Will took on a new challenge by getting behind the wheel of a bandolero. In his first series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the young driver won the Winter Flurry Series Championship in the Young Gun Division. While racing in his 2007 bandolero Thursday Thunder Series, Will undertook racing in the Legends Chargers class. His first legend win came during the October 2007 Nascar weekend in Atlanta. For the 2008 winter race season, Prance made the move to the Semi-Pro class where he finished runner up in both the AMS Winter Flurry and the Georgia State Winter Series. After only racing Semi-Pro for the 12 race season, Prance once again made a quick move to the Pro division. He raced the Lanier National Speedway series (26 weeks long) where he captured the 2008 Pro Legends Championship and fourth in the AMS Thursday Thunder Summer Series. In the 2009 Winter Flurry at AMS Will captured yet another Pro division Championship. He will compete in his new late model for the rest of the year with RPM motorsports and new teammate T.J. Reaid, son on former Dixie champion and crew chief Tony Reaid. Will was also chosen as a Humpy's Hero in April of 2009, a driver development program put together by H. A. "Humpy" Wheeler and David Ragan. He will compete at Lowe's Motor Speedway this summer as part of the program and test at Rockingham with the other 10 participants. Since his quater midget days, young Prance has always enjoyed working on and setting up his own cars. He has a true knowledge of how his cars work and how they handle on the track. Will Prance might have been late to start his racing career, but he is quickly moving forward to achieving his dream.

Will Prance knew at an early age that he loved anything with wheels. He began early driving golf carts, lawn movers, 4-wheelers and then onto motorcycles. Not long after getting his first motorcycle, Will started racing but his parents grew worried about his safety. That's when they looked into quarter midget go-carts.
